Edgecliff Hearing audiologist Phillippa Hunt is contracted by the Federal Government’s Australian Hearing Specialist Programme for Indigenous Australians (AHSPIA) to provide outreach hearing services to Australia’s most remote Communities.

Phillippa reports “Hearing loss through middle ear disease is endemic throughout remote Australia. It has far-reaching consequences on individuals’ lives ranging from education to the judicial system, to participation in cultural ‘story-telling’. My role is to prescribe and fit hearing devices to adults and children with impaired hearing.

It is a privilege to be part of the team dedicated to rehabilitating hearing in our most vulnerable population.”
